Hard plastic doesn't hold up

I use these pads on my trailer on a downhill road. Hard plastic vs rubber or rubberized plastic doesn't work on me, it just slides down my street. No traction. I was working on my trailer and every time my foot barely touched the side of it, it just jumped out. Too bad I didn't get the rubber.
