Last year I got about a dozen apples without mothworms, so I was looking for a solution. My tree was not sprayed with organic spray in time and moths were all over my tree laying eggs! Worms suddenly swarm like there's no tomorrow. I saw a farmer use these bags on his apple tree. What caught my eye was the double tip and the size is 5 x 7 inches. Most bags I looked at were 4" x 6" with only one rope. My apples don't grow big, but sometimes you need to pack a small bunch temporarily. The beauty of the double strand is that the strap stays in place around the stem, but I can also tie the sack to the main stem for that extra support we need in our windy areas. These bags are strong! My only problem was that I underestimated how much I needed so I just ordered an extra 100. Sorry I know these beautiful bags are made for wedding favors and the quality is there when you buy it for that. but this year they will give this old woman edible apples!
