I have used such filters before. During that time we painted a few hundred 1x6x6s for our fence. Sometimes we've emptied a do-it-yourself drip tank. When used with a stiff hopper, they proved good for staining wood dust and shavings before returning the excess back to the 5-gallon tin container.
- Screen filters are suitable for all types of solvent or water-based paints.
