Review on Renewed Logitech MX ERGO Advanced Wireless Trackball for Windows PC and Mac by Mark Hicks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works amazingly well with macOS and my small hands

15" Macbook Pro with Retina Display, Mid 2015 macOS Mojave Hands 16cm from wrist to tip of middle finger Ultimate I need one Mouse that I can use at an angle and assign macOS Multi-Touch gestures to its buttons This is done to relieve the pain in my wrist and thus save me from trackpad dependency I work from home on my MacBook Pro and use the trackpad all the time and the gestures were causing my wrist pain Between the LG MX Vertical or the LG MX Master 2S was big enough I wasn't impressed with how big the vertical was for my small hands I've been in too video meetings saw the sides of users' hands being ripped off when used vertically, so i decided ch to dive in and join in, i use it and have no regrets. I can use it in a wide angle. I love that it comes with an extra wedge so you can move the angle even further. After I started using this at the widest angle, it gave me great relief in my wrist. I didn't realize how convenient it would be not to have to move the mouse around the table or mouse pad. I didn't feel like using the trackball to highlight text, but the precision point did the job. I wasn't expecting much in terms of macOS compatibility, but the software for this mouse, Logi Options, is surprisingly configurable with macOS. You can assign multi-touch gestures to mouse buttons for flight controls, launcher, notifications, and more. You can even choose a "gesture button" and assign trackball gestures to perform tasks. And you can assign keystrokes! This may seem obvious, but it saved me from having to switch between my mouse and the keystrokes I use with my right hand. I would choose Ergo. On the other hand, an "updated" item basically looks, works, and feels brand new. Not even abrasions.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Available in white only
