Review on ZINZ Expandable Water Resistant Multipurpose Accessories by Christopher Penn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Well made good size but no strap and needs an extra zip

At first glance there seems to be some confusion on this product page. Different reviews clearly reflect two different products. The one I received matches the picture and description on this page - a slim and expandable ZINZ laptop sleeve. It is clearly marked with the Zinz label. Perhaps the bug has been fixed and you will always buy a Zinz bag in the future. Pros: - The bag looks well made and looks like it will hold up well. - The laptop bag is well padded and quite soft. Velcro for attachment. I think it will fit most laptops. I have a 13" Macbook Pro and the laptop floats in the bag. I would have preferred a smaller bag for my laptop, but it fits a larger laptop. The handles on the top of the bag are good and quite comfortable to hold. If you just have a relatively light laptop and don't have too many extra papers, this would be a great bag to carry from home to work or meetings.Folders in the middle, or can just have cords/cables/mouse etc for hold your laptop The pockets would be perfect for accessories no outside pocket for easy access - A major downside is the bag doesn't have a shoulder strap nor is there a way to attach one if you have a spare this eliminates some of the features of using this one Holdall.- The zips amaze me for the expandable bag.If you want to keep it works well.It has a double zip on the inside npage so you can open the entire page or just the top to access your files. However, if you want to keep the bag as minimal as possible, there is only one zipper that closes the entire bag and the zipper starts from the bottom of the bag (see image). This zipper runs on the outside of the inner zipper, so you have to unzip the outer zipper to get to the bag. When the outer zip is closed, you have to open the entire side to access the bag. If the inner zip is closed, that's fine, but then you have to open two full zips to access the side. If you want the zipper to be closed only from the outside, and there are papers or folders in the pocket, then this is very inconvenient. and requires the bag to be stowed somewhere. This can easily be remedied by adding a double zip to minimize that side. This allows you to choose the zip you want to use to control the size of the page, rather than double zipping to minimize it. Alternatively, as with many suitcases, the minimizing zip can be separated from the normal zip, allowing you to choose the size of bag you want regardless of opening. I'm taking this bag down one star because I think the zipper issue can easily be fixed and some of the features for the bag are removed. I am not deducting a star for the lack of a shoulder strap or external pocket as the photos and product description clearly show the features and while I would have liked a strap and external pocket these features are not advertised.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
