Great product. Never touch gold with your fingers. Use a paper base. Carefully place the gold side over the glue you are using. Leave the paper for a while and very gently blot or roll into a small roll. Then carefully peel off the paper. Areas that are not well rooted can be covered with a fresh leaf. Also keep incomplete sheets to use to smooth out small imperfections. I've found that the newly patched areas stick to the "bad" areas without reapplying the glue. I can't explain it, but it seems to work fine. Do not cough, sneeze, or breathe near this product. He will go anywhere. It can be scary to work at first, but I found I got better pretty quickly, and so will you. Then it's fun. I use it to cover the haloes of orthodox saints on religious icons. I was horrified the first time I used it.
