Review on πŸ’» Ultra Portable 8-inch Laptop Win10 SSD UMPC with Sleek Aluminum Body - FSLC 4GB RAM / 128GB ROM Touch Screen Tablet PC by Jason Matthews

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far so good, but I think that could change soon.

Okay I brought this UMPC to try out the form factor. Most other UMPCs are gone (One-Note, Chuwi Minibook, etc.) so I'm left with this one, which is still reasonably priced and features. It has 2 USB-A ports, 1 full-featured USB-C port (PD and HDMI out), 1 mini HDMI port and a micro SD card slot (haven't tried it yet). I can't get this spec from the product page or from the seller so hopefully this helps someone who is wondering. First, fine, but remember I only have it for a few days. The UMPC looks well built, the case is aluminum which is quite nice and the folding mechanism feels pretty solid. The fingerprint sensor works well and the "mouse tracking dot" is better than I expected. Love the fully featured USB-C which I can charge with any PD charger, the keyboard is backlit too which is good for the price. normal part. I don't plan to play with this UMPC or use it for resource intensive tasks so I think the specs are good enough for my use but I want it to have at least 8GB of RAM. The keyboard isn't that bad, but I think it will take a long time to get used to, especially some of the keys, but that's to be expected with such a small size. Now for the bad. The power button on this thing is cool too, you have to hold it down for a while to turn it on. Sometimes it still takes me a few tries to turn this thing on and I'm afraid that one day it won't work anymore. I also lost my Bluetooth connection for a while (remember I've only had it for 2 days!). I connected one of my Bluetooth keyboards and suddenly all Bluetooth connections are lost, the icon has disappeared from the Action Center. I've been trying to find a driver for it to no avail and I was ready to erase the recovery USB thing I originally created to bring back to Revain. But I can't figure out how to get into bios to boot from USB, somehow the bluetooth shows up again and I'm typing this with my bluetooth keyboard now. I'm worried about what's next (Wifi? Sound? HDMI?) and they might not come back. Overall, I like the form factor so far, but the problems I mentioned in the test and the lack of support are the reason for the 3 stars. Time will tell if it gets 1 star.
