I never thought of buying an Apple Pencil because of the price. One day I saw my friend using it and saw how useful it can be. I am an elementary school teacher and when teaching remotely I often use my iPad for my lessons. When I saw this for less than a third of the price of an Apple Pencil, I decided to give it a try. I regret nothing! It's very light, elegant and intuitive. If you have connection problems, be sure to go to "Settings" - "Notes". Turn off Draw with Apple Pencil only. Also, sign in to Bluetooth and forget about your Apple Pencil if you previously paired it. From the looks of it, you don't need to pair with it. It only works when it's turned on. I would recommend this product to people interested in digital art or photo editing.
