There is no overhead light in our bedroom. This lamp is the perfect solution. I'm not usually a fan of "modern" design, but this is a very beautiful, understated and very functional lamp. It is flexible in operation and placement. He is tall, just under 6 feet. I'm 6ft 3cm tall and the light is directly above my line of sight and pointing straight up. 3 color options, stepless dimming, remote control and lamp control - all just right. . . dare I say perfect. Assembly was quick and easy but take your time as there is a risk of stripping the rod threads if you are too froggy. And yes, it's very bright, but it can be set to a very low-level soft light. Time to dim the lights without getting up? The board understands. ;) I'm working on finding an excuse to buy another one or two because I really like this one.
