The description is incorrect and misleading. The clamps are 4.5 inches long from end to end and have a maximum opening of 1 inch (2.25 cm, not 5 cm as advertised). This is misleading for buyers when purchasing. Only time will tell if the clips will hold up as they all look like plastic and the orange tips come off very easily and have to be re-attached each time.
