I know a lot of people go crazy when they hear a training collar and they can get worried when they see or hear a stun gun. I was one of them. After using it I would say it's safe. It does not hurt. And you may never need to use shock mode. There are three types of collar feedback: beep, buzz/vibrate, and slap. I didn't even need the shock feature in this product. I use the beep 98% of the time. I've only had to use Buzz a few times. I tell him no and if he's not listening I beep, if he's still not listening I press vibrate+beep and he comes running to me! In that order, I found this product not only works beautifully but is also very fast, less than 4 hours for us. I think this is the BEST investment I've made for my dog. The battery lasts a long time and the quality is good. I would recommend buying this product. Great tool for training, especially off-leash.
