No resistance, no load, no light. In earnest!

These bulbs are bright enough on dyno tests but only worked on my dyno connected directly to a 12V car battery. I spent over an hour installing them in a 2006 Audi (License Plate lights) and they just don't work. Yes I checked the polarity and installed it with the correct polarity. One lights up for a few seconds and goes out. If I leave one of the old incandescent bulbs, the LED bulb will work in a different socket. Aha! Need a load! Back at the booth I tested the LED bulbs with an ohmmeter and found out why they weren't working, there is no resistance on the board so it just reads an open circuit. Audi engineers, in their infinite wisdom, have obviously overcomplicated the simple circuitry of a lightbulb, but it's still unforgivable for a car LED maker to neglect the fact that modern cars use electronics to control everything. The only warning in the product description is that these bulbs may not be compatible with "latest European" vehicles. According to my calendar, 2006 is hardly a new year, let alone the "latest". So if you drive a Camero 68 or build a bird house with LED lights these lights should work just fine. However, if your car was built in the current millennium, you can roll the dice or spend a few bucks more for lightbulbs with a properly designed circuit board that will work on all old and 'latest' cars.
