Bought several colors for my husband. We live in downtown Wisconsin and by mid-September it's already getting chilly. It's all about adapting layers to the changing seasons. The material is lightweight flannel, soft, not stiff. The blue chambray color that I liked so much that I decided to order the same one. The rest of the colors were rich and attractive. The fit isn't overly generous so it doesn't look like you're wrapped in fabric. I ordered him a very large one, knowing it would be below him. His usual height is a large stature (180 pounds at 6 feet tall, solid muscles with a swimmer's physique). It fit well, looked really good on him and was worth the price. If you are looking for something thicker this is not for you. This is a summer option, so perfect for fall.
