I bought this adapter for my new 27" Samsung T55 monitor because I wanted to use it on my VIVO monitor stand instead of the stand that came with it. I tried it on the back first Installing the monitor I was a little worried it wouldn't fit as it was quite tight however with a little effort it stood up straight away now I understand it was intentionally designed to allow the monitor to stay flat during use is very safe.
