My SDU-320 isn't working

I can't use the Franklin SDU-320 because the letters are too small to read. At maximum contrast, all information on the right side is unreadable. Glare on the screen makes it doubly difficult to use. I regret purchasing this item. After about an hour, the device went into solution mode and won't come out of this mode.
