This charger doesn't seem to work with my toothbrush

I've been charging my Phillip's Sonic Care for hours and it just doesn't seem to be working like it used to. I compare how the head vibrates compared to the son, and he vibrates - mine just buzzes. It sounds different now. When you place your toothbrush in the charger, the lights will illuminate to indicate it is charging. But the performance is far from what it used to be.
