The diameter of the 2-port housing is larger than the diameter of Toyota's cigarette lighter socket, so installing this USB extender will require you to cut your dashboard (or whatever your cigarette lighter plugs into). This is not a direct replacement for the cigarette lighter. Also, this USB extension does not provide a suitable connection for Android Auto when used with a Sony XAV-AX5000 head unit (i.e. the head unit does not recognize the phone for using Android Auto but instead charges the phone). At the moment this USB extension is sitting in a drawer and is unusable for my application.
