Headunit Installation was easy into the existing cigarette lighter holes of each car. It was much more difficult to remove the factory-installed cigarette lighter socket in both cars. (They protect these things really well.) Fast charging works well. I want it to sit flush but leave a small gap for the ring on the lid instead. I have not used the cover in any of my apps. After installation it's not noticeable at all, only I know it's there, so not worth deducting a star. Overall a great product

I don't know why you run to different sockets but they are

I really like this plug. I connected it to a Raspberry Pi behind the monitor and drilled a slot in the frame for it. Just drilling a 3/4 inch hole in wood for threading is not long enough. I just couldn't get the lock nut to engage the threads. So a little flush drilling was required. To be honest, I would have preferred a single USB plug that fits both outlets, making it both an extender and a splitter. But luckily the Pi has enough USB ports to do what I need it to do. It doesn't matter much.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Makes me angry

This is my second purchase of this USB Dual Port (one for each machine). I use both in conjunction with my new JVC receivers, each with two USB input cables. These ports allow me to use all the apps on my Android (Android Auto) and my wife's iPhone (Apple Car Play) to access our phone's navigation, music apps as well as our phone contacts via our head units' touchscreen. I know some of these ports are not suitable for these applications, but this one works great!

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent

The product seems reliable, but it doesn't work for me.

The diameter of the 2-port housing is larger than the diameter of Toyota's cigarette lighter socket, so installing this USB extender will require you to cut your dashboard (or whatever your cigarette lighter plugs into). This is not a direct replacement for the cigarette lighter. Also, this USB extension does not provide a suitable connection for Android Auto when used with a Sony XAV-AX5000 head unit (i.e. the head unit does not recognize the phone for using Android Auto but instead chargesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • boring package

Great quality, fast charging, nice looks

This double USB extender is of high quality. The cable is thick, the plug is strong. I installed it in my car to connect to a newly installed Kenwood head unit. The maximum charging current of the head unit is given as 1.5 A in the table, but I will never be able to charge my cell phone quickly with the original Kenwood USB extension cable. With this extension, I keep seeing the Rapid Charge logo. Android Auto also worked flawlessly and never crashed. I drilled a hole in a car panel with aโ€ฆ

Great solution for a new stereo setup!

I have replaced the extra cigarette lighter socket in my old SUV with this dual USB plug which connects to 2 USB upstream ports on a new Pioneer Navigation/Stereo head unit I recently installed. Now I can connect my iPhone for CarPlay and charging (same for Android Auto). I preferred the 2 USB version to the 1 USB version because (1) the main unit has 2 USB input ports, so why not, and (2) there is no LED indicator on that connector because it's difficult to see him in the car. At night I useโ€ฆ

That's great. I have an 07 F150 and wanted.

This is perfect. I have an 07 F150 and wanted to pack something in my truck for people to charge their devices. Removed the factory cigarette lighter from the center console. It didn't fit my truck perfectly, but that's not the device's fault. I used a small file to make the hold a bit bigger and the included rubber flip top works great. I had some friends and my boss in my truck and they asked if it was a factory car. Looks good and works standing up. I've connected one of the USB ports to myโ€ฆ

Works with Android Auto on Kenwood 9704s

Bought to install on my 2011 Ford F-150 XLT. My Kenwood came with USB extenders but I wanted it to look like a standard unit. The hole saw is built in and looks like it came on the truck. This setup is really good. Strong but looks bright and new. The cables are made of strong yet flexible wires. The outer skin is SUPER nice material. Smooth, bright and durable. Cable strain reliefs are where they should be, so you don't have to worry about loose solder later. To be honest, it feels and looksโ€ฆ

Good product. Read this when installing in wood.

I wanted to add some charging ports to the desk extension I installed in my home office. My desk apron is made out of 1 x 4 wood, that is, 0.75 inches thick and 3.5 inches high. All other furniture USB hubs seem to require a minimum 2" hole, but I didn't want my 3.5" apron to have a hole that size as it would leave little for structural support. I found this and decided to give it a try. Tried it on some junk in the garage before drilling through my new table. My calipers told me the bushingโ€ฆ

Fixed Android Auto in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler

I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Freedom Edition and I have tried 3 different Android Auto Head Units each time reusing the console USB port in the Jeep and removing the Uconnect system. The Sony XAV-AX100 worked great. The Sony XAV-AX5000 barely worked. My current Alpine iLX-W650 probably ran above 50% but was still quite problematic. I did a lot of troubleshooting, made YouTube videos and posted them on the Jeep forums. In the end, I decided that the Jeep's USB console wiring just wasn't

Pros
  • Dia X Height: 1.26" x 1.77", Easy to Install 28mm to 30mm Hole, Cable 3ft - 1m
