I've been collecting kitty litter for 20 years so trust me when I tell you I've tried all types of poop scoops. The plastic doesn't last long, and other metal shovels I've used break where the shovel meets the handle. After breaking the last shovel, I went hunting and came across this little gem. If there's such a thing as the Poop Stingers' Holy Grail, this is it! I love this thing! The paddle portion is big and deep so I don't have to scoop as often to do the whole pan. Not only does it catch clumps, it also catches small parts that should come out of the litter box. The handle helps my grip stay secure and the whole thing is as solid as it gets. Note to those who have used a shovel before: this is likely to be heavier than what you are used to. If you find it uncomfortable at first, keep adjusting your grip until you find a comfortable position. It's worth it. I don't expect to ever have to replace this shovel because it broke, but if I do I'll come back here and let you know. If not, I can't recommend it highly enough!
