Review on Coldest Water Insulated Stainless Thermos Kitchen & Dining by Charles Quinones

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is the coldest water but not strong enough for children. IMO

I bought these for my kids for school after their bottles spilled on the books and papers in their book bags. I was hesitant to buy a brand I had never heard of, but with Revain's excellent return policy I decided to take a chance and order two. After a few weeks of use here is my honest review. PROS1. Most importantly, the bottle keeps the water very cold. From the time my kids go to school until they get home, there is minimal ice melt. You have to be careful not to put too much ice in it as it won't turn into water. It keeps ice for several days.2. There was a straw on the cap, so there is no need to turn the bottle upside down to drink.3. Doesn't leak 4. Doesn't sweat.5. It has a loop in the lid that can be used for carrying.6. The mouthpiece has a rubber pad MINUS-1 instead of hard plastic. The worst thing is that the bottle is not durable. My daycare dropped it twice and left permanent damage both times. Which is a shame because I bought these for kids who are likely to drop them from time to time. The mouth of the bottle is small, we can't use the ice directly from the ice machine on the refrigerator. We need to put ice into the cup and then pour it into the bottle.3. There is a handle in the bottle, but it's too low down to be useful.4. Carrying a bottle with a handy strap lets your fingers touch the bottle's mouthpiece. It seems to parents that school and illness go hand in hand. It's not ideal for germs to get their hands on and constantly be in contact with something they put in their mouth.5. The lettering on the bottle will be erased after minimal use. I'm amazed at how cold the water is. A Yeti goggle can't compete with this water bottle, but I don't think it will stand up to our tough lifestyle.
