Does what I want ie controls the outside lights. The app is flexible and works with many other devices, although it doesn't seem to support any type of dimming. A few "gotchas" when setting it up: In particular, the device only works on a WLAN frequency of 2.4 GHz. If your home WiFi has the same name for 2.4 and 5, you may need to disable 5GHz while pairing with this device (if you have "myhome" and "myhome-5", just make sure you connect to "myhome" and it will work). The application sends special packets over the network you're connected to, which the device sees even when it's not connected, as long as it's operating on the 2.4 GHz frequency. the default is on, not off or last status. In my case, this is perfectly acceptable, but probably not ideal in some situations. My only other complaint is that none of these devices are UL approved as others have said, but this testing is very expensive and time consuming. I'm happy overall and will probably get some other components to control other devices.
