Review on Bracket Pole Mount VESA75 100 by Mike Gruwell

Where there is a will, there's a way! (0^0)

I am in the process of replacing an old analogue CCTV system with more modern digital cameras. When I installed my original system 20 years ago I was a bit more mobile and could crawl up and down the attic with no problem. Now I'm in my 70's and my dexterity is a thing of the past. So I need to reconsider how I do projects that require tall ladders. Thanks to new technologies, surveillance cameras have become cheaper and have better image quality. I replaced my old analog cameras with Wi-Fi digital cameras using 12 volt power cords from an old analog system. So far this has worked great. At the back of my house I wanted to install a PTZ camera that would allow me to see the back and side yards from one camera. The ideal installation would be on the eve of a corner on a screened in porch. Due to the height, 2 stories up and the AC compressor on the way to the stairs, I had to find another way to mount this camera. I decided to use a pipe mount. Using an 8ft fence line post and 10ft fence rail tube I made a telescoping tube that gave me easy access to the camera when needed and with a small modification I used this VESA75/100 pole mount. The camera assembly weighed about 4 pounds and bolted tightly to the tripod mount. The tripod mount is firmly connected to the mast telescope tube and does not slip or shift. I am very happy with the build quality of the mount and its durability. I plan on adding another of the same camera and will be using the same setup and buying another of these mounts.

Pros

Cons
