Definitely worth the price. I have found that it really helps against the rain. I have two cars and for some reason my 06 CLK had the rain sticking to the side mirrors but that was definitely an improvement and there are so many of them. So honestly you can use it on other cars or leave it in case it falls, but I haven't had any issues with car washes and snow so far.
