Broken right out of the box. Must read! A common problem with this device and its causes.

Unit has not been damaged, dropped etc. Fan did not work right out of the box. I could hear the fan trying to turn on and the rest of the unit was getting power, it was just that the fan wasn't blowing air at all. So I took it out the window again and opened the suitcase. Looking inside, I found the problem. It wasn't like the fan was dead/broken. They were the ones who used very cheap styrofoam to cover the fan. Think of it like one of those cheap styrofoam coolers that people buy to take to the beach, except they're a lot thinner and less durable. So the cheap styrofoam broke in transit and bits of it were everywhere inside including the fan causing it to be like this. he couldn't move at all. I removed the broken parts, tried to put them back together and tested again. Now the blower worked, but it sounded like a lawnmower. Had to take it apart again to find the styrofoam insulation covering the fan which now rubs on the fan when spinning. Had to reopen it to set it up again and finally it worked. I can guarantee with almost 100% certainty that most of these devices will arrive with a broken foam shell inside the device. It's damn cheap, it doesn't have the plastic to cover the styrofoam (good AC manufacturers do that to prevent that). Especially if you're shipping an AC unit that weighs over 80 pounds because we all know how much UPS package couriers and drivers really love delivering big and heavy packages and they just treat them with kid gloves. So anyone here complaining about that sounds like a lawnmower. This is because the foam inside has broken and the blower is now hitting it. I was about to return it but Revane persuaded me to keep it by giving me back the 100 and I was able to fix it myself by opening it up and attaching the insulating sleeve with superglue and heavy duty tape. I would not. I recommend this device to everyone. You are almost guaranteed to have destroyed the insulating case when it arrives at your home with the delivery.
