It was everything I hoped for. I'm a DJ and I needed a way to expand my MacBook Air's internal storage without opening it up and buying a more expensive version. This little device was the perfect answer to my first world problem. I ordered a large capacity microSDXC card and put my entire DJ music collection on it and it has been working flawlessly ever since. The drive is always recognized when the laptop boots up and the performance is spot on for my needs (this is obviously mostly down to the brand/model of microSDXC card you're using). Finally, I love that it's made of aluminum and fits perfectly with the MacBook case. Looks like it was made to be there. Finally, it is very tight fitting. This is good as there is no fear of it falling out. I recently upgraded my microSDXC card to a higher capacity model and this was the first time I've had to take this thing out. After nearly destroying a credit card trying to get them out, I decided to take a breath, pull out my iFixit tool kit and use the right tool to get it out easily (a metal spatula). Find out that the replacement went perfectly with the right tool. Thing is the best.
