I'm a makeup addict and I refuse to admit how many brushes I use for one application. I also have flare ups and have to work on cleaning my brushes every two weeks (twice a week). I used this brush cleaner and was very surprised with the good results. I'm sure real brush cleaning soap is great, but I use an exfoliating acne cleanser in water to better dissolve makeup and oil or eyeliner. I used warm water and rinsed each brush before throwing it in the sink; It wasn't as dirty as I thought it would be. The time it took to replace the rubber mounting screws, including losing some of the metal ends of my brushes, proved to be the most annoying part of it. BUT the results of cleaner brushes (although fun) are worth it in the end. This is my first brush cleaner so for the price I'd say it's a good buy for my needs.
