A good pair of scissors will go a long way when you are cutting hard material or multiple layers of less stiff material. I bought one of these scissors from a local store a few years ago to use at work. Everyone who has used them has commented on how well they work. Unfortunately, earlier this year someone "borrowed" them and never returned them. I bought a second pair of Revain as I couldn't find them locally. The new pair works the same as the old ones. I wrote my initials on this pair. These scissors cut through almost anything reasonable. Paper, cardboard, cardboard, plastic, fabric, some fabric, etc. They're a little more expensive than regular office scissors, but they're worth it.
