I am very impressed with this player. I bought it as a gift but I am delighted with the quality. Having a hi-fi component stereo at home, I'm well acquainted with the various elements that make the sound sound real to our ears. While this device is extremely affordable and compact, it does a commendable job. I don't write too many product reviews, but I felt compelled to do so for this player. I did a lot of research before deciding on this little combo player. The Audio Technica magnetic cartridge/stylus combined with a belt drive and a metal arm, in short, the components that drive the vinyl itself really drew me in. It's very difficult to rate the sound quality online so I was in the dark about the speaker quality, although it does have RCA outputs for external speakers. Basically, I wanted to make sure the recordings wouldn't get corrupted when played on a player. This one delivers more than anyone else of this type and size and also has a very large volume and really decent sound quality from such a small speaker setup. Overall great quality for what it is!
