I am an acupuncturist so I often use Gua Sha in my practice to relieve pain. I use a lot of cleaning tools and this is one of the most handy! Made of high quality metal with good weight; this provides sufficient pressure on the skin to produce the desired redness on the skin. I was pleasantly surprised by the nail clipper/bottle opener and gouache sleeve that were included. I still don't know what to do with the clipper but I'm very happy with the case. It is made of thin fabric and helps keep the tool clean. I use coconut oil for knots or Chinese medicinal oils/ointments for pain relief. To relieve pain, you can move the scraper in one direction several times until "sha" or redness appears. Sha darkens and remains visible for several days. What I like most about this scraper is that it is long enough to cover most of the body and the ends are nice and rounded enough to cover the smaller bony areas of the body. body as well as the face.
