There were a few negative reviews, which seemed to revolve around the claim that the steel was not strong enough. These even made me think twice about buying this product, but I went ahead anyway, and I find that the steel is quite strong enough if used in a normal fashion. Complaints about weakness were from situations of abuse or accident. I also ignore the comment which said it was too long. That is not the problem of the product.I think the thing which appeals to me the most is that unlike fancier items, made from components glued together, this product will not come apart from use. It will last forever, if used properly. And it works. How about that! I was afraid it would be too twisty, but it is not. It is solid from hand hold to shoe, and glides the foot in as it should, even into tight slippers.
