Review on MetallicGear Mid Tower MG NE520A_BK01 Airflow Controller by Jordan Epps

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It costs $65 but no more. Well thought out case.

I did not purchase this item from Revain as it was "out of stock" when available from others. So I got it for $65 plus $5 shipping from another "computer egg" site. It's a minor thing, so keep that in mind. I knew that, and that's what I wanted, based on a huge Fractal Design monolith (but VERY WELL DONE). The reason I preferred the P300 from Phanteks (yes, I know it was made by them) is that it has room for a power supply. I have a 1000w PSU and it is HUGE (non-modular). In the case of Fantex, that would not fit at all. This he did, with plenty of space. The RGB lighting is very good, but the fans push air around, just don't expect much from it. Appropriate. This case is "thin-skinned," meaning the metal is weakened in places. But as I said, for the price I can live with it. What is shown is also wrong. The picture shows that the ports next to the connector have a removable (screw) cover, in fact there is none, but there is a gap wide open. Also, the picture shows thumbscrews holding the tempered glass side, that's also completely wrong. This is a very good case, especially for the price. But I wouldn't pay a penny more for that.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best
