Understandable, this cable works perfectly.
I originally wrote that this product does not work to connect my Wii U to my old TVs. It was my fault. The cable works perfectly. The Wii had no instructions for connecting S-Video. HDMI worked fine on my new TV, but these cables didn't seem to work on the old TV in the kids playroom. Turns out you have to change the settings from HDMI to AV for the Wii to recognize the cable.
