. I've been using the left middle rubber eartip from skeleton eartips for years and saw some guys wearing this new (new to me) type of fin and decided to give it a try. How does it compare? - He'd better stay where he is. - In terms of comfort, I've only been wearing it for a few days, but so far it's not that comfortable. While it usually takes a few days for my ear to stop hurting a bit even with the old style, after wearing it for two 12 hour shifts on the third day my ear hurt too much and I reverted to old style back. I'll put it back on next week and see if it just takes him a few days to get used to it. - It partially blocks my hearing. I've seen two types of it in action. It has a hole that lets most sound through and I've seen a few people with this hole that doesn't. This one leaks the most sound, but not as much as the old style I usually use. This is a big minus for me as it reduces my situational awareness.
