I've been seeing them for a few years now and thought my husband would love them; but never pulled the trigger because the ones I saw cost hundreds of dollars. Now I see much cheaper models with elegant or technological design. My husband and I recently decided to learn the art of Jiu-Jitsu, so this was the perfect excuse to buy a massage gun. We thought it was going to hurt a lot considering we're in our 30s now and just starting to play the sport. We often advocate this model for aesthetic reasons. At first it was intimidating and uncomfortable. It hurt in some places, tickled others - we giggled and joked on the first try. At first it didn't relax because we were tense. However, we kept trying multiple times with different heads and on different muscles. Once you get the hang of it, the benefits will unlock themselves. I have found it to be much more convenient and effective when used on myself. By doing it myself I know exactly where, when and under what pressure to start rather than straining my body when my husband says he will help me. For example, I had my right neck on one side from sleeping on the other pillow. When my husband turned his head into a neck brace, it looked painful with a split head. I'm used to the soft ball head. I pulled away as soon as he started, and the vibration seemed too strong. But when I took it off him I was able to reach over my shoulder at the right angle so it was gentle contact and I could work on putting more pressure on my problem areas. Overall it was great, just needed a small learning curve to figure out how best to use it on each of us. The display is clear, bright, the settings are clear. Battery life was great - despite the instructions to charge it before use, we used it right out of the box. It was fully charged and now it's a month later and it hasn't had to be charged yet.
