I have used this odor neutralizer on both carpets and upholstery after a cat that was ill (stroke) repeatedly peed in two places. I extracted the urine with water first and used an extraction cleaning machine. I then cleaned the area with Woolite Carpet Cleaner. I also extracted it. It was pretty clean after that, but I decided to apply this product to take it a step further and get rid of all the smell so she wouldn't do it again. After applying this enzymatic cleaner, it smelled so bad it was worse than just cat pee. The combination of this odor with the faint color of the urine was multiplied and intolerable. I ended up covering the couch in baking soda and leaving it for a couple of days to vacuum and douse with febrize. We had to completely redo the carpet. This product did more harm than good.
