I have invested in this case for my Van Der Hagen safety razor in case I need to take it with me when travelling. The handle is much shorter than space allows, which is great as it suits users who have razors with longer handles. When I carefully placed my razor in the empty cartridge slot, I got a bit of a thick grip at the top, which momentarily bothered me that it didn't fit, but a gentle push down made it fit perfectly. I like the mesh pocket on the other flap where you can stow a travel strap and would probably be a good place to store an extra blade cartridge.
