This size makes the perfect double shot and I often add hot water.

This is our second Bialetti Moka pot and I have not regretted a single purchase. This size makes the perfect double shot and I often add hot water for Cafe Americanos. This is our only way to brew coffee unless we need more volume throughout the day (in which case we use a French Press). These coffee pots are very durable. We bought our first one 3 years ago and it still works, I just needed a second one so I didn't have to carry it home from work. I've tried a full espresso machine, but too many parts can break and the coffee maker takes less time to brew. Perfectly concentrated coffee. Not too strong and by no means weak - pleasant and fragrant. Don't grind your espresso all the way through as it is too fine and some of the coffee powder will rise up into the pot. The golden mean lies between drip grinding and espresso grinding. We use it for about 5 cups a day and I recommend it to all our coffee drinking friends. They even say that my coffee rivals the coffee shop and I don't buy the best beans - buy affordable and quality beans (we like Aldi's Barrismo for $4 a pound - it's amazing). Tip: Hold your grounds and scatter them. Garden. Plants love it!
