I've been looking for a massage gun for a while but finally decided I needed it now because I have back pain and sciatica that can hurt my leg. My L5 was showing arthritis activity and this is where my back pain starts. First Impression: The body of the massage gun is quite nice and feels sturdy enough to withstand sitting under a bed or in a closet. The massage gun itself is made of plastic, as is the hair dryer. To the touch, however, it's a durable thick plastic. When switched on, the device was already 94% charged and ready to use. However, I chose to charge it to 100% before first use to ensure I have full power. First Use: This massage gun has a lot of power, more than I expected from a battery powered device. The sound of the device is definitely audible. I'd say that's the sweet spot for sound. Combine it with relaxing music and I doubt it will bother you much. Using it on my lower back was wonderful and the pain I was feeling subsided. I usually have to take painkillers to relieve the pain, but I think a massage gun would be a suitable substitute. I've found that at 25Hz on flat heat with heat the massage gun discharges at a rate of about 1% per minute and faster as the speed increases. I find this to be a reasonable discharge rate for a battery powered shotgun. As for the heat, I'd like it to be even hotter, but I find it just right enough for my taste. However, everyone will have their own opinion on the matter. All in all: A battery-powered massage gun is enough for those who want to avoid cords and reduce pain. I enjoy using the massage gun and find it powerful enough to penetrate deep into your muscles. I'd also like to add that this is great for relieving sore muscles when you're working out. In general, I can recommend this device without hesitation.
