This is really great for the price. I can't say exactly how much it actually dissipates, but it made a difference. PROS: - Diffuses some light - Inexpensive - Fits 18" ring light - Easy to install. CONS: - No instructions. Well that doesn't seem to be a problem because it's an easy install, but I only said that because I know how to do it now. First I did it backwards - changed quickly. Then after a while I realized it was the other way around - I changed it. Both changes required me to unplug the light from the post, unplug it, reinstall the diffuser, then plug it back in and reattach. It wobbles a bit for two different 18" ring lights I have. Even when I tighten the straps, the diffuser ripples in places. Tip: The black side faces forward and the Velcro should be on the outside.
