Review on Sakura 50220 Micron Blister Colors by Amanda Castillo

Archival Smudge Quality

Since Revain likes to confuse customer reviews of related but actually completely different products, I have to point out that this refers to the Sakura Pigma 50220 Micron Blister Card Ink Pen Set. This is a pen set that actually has a ballpoint pen tip, not a pen or brush tip. I purchased this archival quality pen set to sign fine art photographs (unless I am dry mounting them or mounting them) and to write additional information on the back of these prints. I've only tried this on Canon Pro Luster Paper, but even after two days of drying, I run my fingers over the ink and it smears (that's the downside). Haven't tried it on Museo Silver Rag or other archival papers yet and won't. I don't know if spring pins behave a little differently. But if you're using Canon Pro Luster photo paper and want to use it for signing and writing on the back, it might last 100 years, but it's very prone to staining, at least in the early days. I've been using these pens not long ago to talk about some other features but so far this type of photo paper on the back is very disappointing.
