This set contains 10 very simple and small make-up brushes. The bristles are soft. There was no connection. Their soft bristles are pleasant to the touch and work just like many other brushes I've tried before. However, since the brushes are small, this is not a professional set. I personally prefer larger brushes than this set. The brushes come with a beautiful ceramic holder with a picture of a face on the front. I like this holder because it is included in the set. In addition to these brushes, three blender sponges are included. A sponge with a flat side works great for smooth applications. The other sponge is a typical egg shaped sponge, good for blending or any big makeup application like an hourglass sponge. They feel good in my hands, blend well and feel soft on my skin. The sponges also come with a metal holder. The current price of $16.99 is the competitive price for this 15 piece set (10 brushes, 3 blending sponges and two holders).
