Review on Empava 30-Inch Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop with 5 Burners - Model 30XGC21 by Nate Jenkins

We just installed this hob. The price convinced us. The only problem we have is the plug you see in the first photo. Since we were replacing a 17 year old GE, we were able to take the old brass fitting and reuse it after cleaning it (the picture shows the wire brush we used). Be sure to use pipe lube (see picture) on the fittings. When turning on the gas line, do a soapy water test to check for leaks. If there are leaks, you will need more pipe lubricant on the connection threads. If you use pipe tape, you must use yellow gas pipe tape. It's time to check it out... check out the photo of my wonderful husband who did the install! Make sure all burner caps are level and you are getting an even flame. For us it was an easy setup. We'll install the hood tomorrow. I recommend this product. We have dispensed with the supplied metal clips. Instead, we plan to use a rubber or foam gasket under the rim of the cooktop. I'm happy!
