Review on 🌰 Schwarzkopf Simply Color 5.65 Truffle Brown Permanent Hair Color by Erica Jackson

I used to dye my hair in a salon but I developed an allergy to hair dye and the itching was driving me crazy and getting worse each time. The salon didn't have any options for sensitive scalps and then COVID-19 reared its ugly face so I had no choice but to start coloring myself. First let me say that I hate dying my own hair. I don't even like touching the roots. I also have a hard time hiding gray roots and my hair grows very quickly so it only takes a week or two to show. Now add to all of this the need to find something that doesn't irritate my scalp and I've been very grumpy about this whole hair dye adventure. Either the gray hair showed through and the color faded very quickly, or I still had scalp irritation. So I didn't expect much from him either, but I tried anyway. I'm so glad I did! I love the color (brown truffle) and had absolutely no itching or irritation! Before writing a review I have decided to wait until I have used this product to see if I am satisfied. I've used it three times and so far I haven't had any itching or irritation and I'm still happy with the color. My hair is naturally medium brown with blonde highlights. The gray hair is only on the crown and temples, but it's an ugly gray and looks awful with my natural color underneath. This color is pretty close to my original color, except that the highlights are slightly reddish, which I prefer. Since using this color I've received several compliments on my hair color out of the blue, so I suspect the color is changing. For reference only, I follow the root touch-up instructions and let the color sit for the maximum recommended time. I use my own nitrile gloves as the gloves that come with every hair dye I've tried, including this one, are awful and usually leak and stain my fingers and nails. I still hate dying my own hair but this product is really easy to use and I had no problem not having gray hair. Now if I can just convince my salon to do the job, let me bring my own color.
