The slogan on the box reads "Stay cool. Not much. The cushions are thick and covered with black velvet. It's on my lap right now and it's very warm. I bought it for a disabled person so she doesn't have to hold the laptop with one hand to keep it on her lap. But since she can't regulate her body temperature and gets either freezing or boiling hot at any moment, she can't use it as is. Unfortunately, the cover is not removable, so I cannot change the cover of the pad. So if I can't think of anything to put on the pads that's stiff enough to hold the knee pads in place and keep the warmth of the corduroy and padding out, it's not too good for them before winter. While it was advisable to use a material that will hold up, I hope the company will consider using a cooler material in the future. In terms of surface, it's light and seems to support the laptop as long as your legs stay still. The edges and corners are smooth, and the palm rest (for lack of a better term) can be detached to leave more room for your knees. It would be nice if there was a way to attach the computer to the stand, e.g. B. with clips or a strap. But fortunately there are many ways to improvise. Overall this is a good lap stand and table and I will try to use it. But I hope that at some point the company will think about improving it.
