A little musty at first, but rinses off easily.
Smelled a bit musty when received. I was thinking of returning it as the packaging said it cannot be returned after washing. I'm glad I kept it, the smell went away after washing. I washed it in cold water on a gentle cycle and then air dried it. It was a huge hit, really completed the look I was going for, and really kept me warm for an hour or so while out in Denver in November.
