It was a lot of fun making them. I had to purchase separately the dome shaper and the curling tool (helps to hold the ends and roll straight when curling lots of strips) (both are highly recommended for use with this set). Gave to one of a friend's daughter (with a tiny bracelet and pendant inside). she loved it! I will give the rest to my nieces, nephew and goddaughter for their birthdays. I will do more and come up with their own"recipes"! The brochure was very helpful, it also contained some great tips. I've been doing quilling for about 2 years (hobby) - so I'm not a beginner, but I'm far from an expert. I would rate this as "medium" or below. Great little craft that can be made even with a young handyman.
