At first they smell very strong, I can't describe the smell. That's a bit annoying. As for their effectiveness, then. hard to say. They can help a little, combined with a few other things I do: attach safety pins to my clothes, take clothes out of the dryer if they're slightly damp, use a humidifier. With all of this combined, there was an overall improvement. However, there are some sweaters that I have, even if I throw in a couple of those dryer sheets and take the sweater out when it's very damp (or even when I can't tumble dry it at all), they come out like a thunderstorm is very static. So in general I can't say they work. But they might be worth it because while everyone touts workarounds like drying balls and vinegar, I haven't found a complete solution yet. Anyway, I won't buy it again. At least it's time to look for something else for my sweaters.
