Around 2015 I bought [[ASIN:B001G4Z5J0 Pro Series 63153 Rambler Cargo Carrier Basket] and a lighting kit to match. The light kit eventually gave out and instead of buying a new one I decided to use this tape and route it along the outer top and bottom frame rails on the luggage rack. The 1/2 inch tape fitted the rack rails perfectly and was enough for me to wrap the rack twice. And there's still a little bit left. The grip seems good and we'll see how it holds up with use and the weather. (DISCLAIMER: I keep the rack in the shed when not in use so it's not out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.) While taping off both rails I decided to shift the color swatch to (hopefully) too draw in more attention. on the pillar when it sticks out of the car. It's not when I'm driving that I worry, but when I've parked in a lot of places and been hit on the side or something. It's noticeable in daylight, but the reflective finish works well at night. Overall I am happy with this product and would recommend it for similar purposes.
