We tried different types of floor protection (both felt and plastic) for our everyday dining chairs that sit on a hardwood floor. All other types of protectors wear out quickly or just slide off the bottom of the chair leg with daily use and three kids, which can be rough. They were the best defenders I've found! The design of the floor protector is what works - a plastic cup that hugs the chair leg. I did a lot of research and read reviews before buying them as I didn't want to spend the money on more floor protectors that wouldn't last two weeks. Almost two months have passed and they are still operational and in like new condition - plastic around the chair legs and a felt floor. Also, I thought they would stand out on my beautiful Pottery Barn chairs and yes you can see them but in my opinion they don't stand out like a scratched floor. They'll last a long time until I need to buy new ones, but I'll get them back when or IF the time comes!
