The control unit I bought came with a 2" sensor cable - found this and was able to replace it (2 cables) and extend my range a bit . Worked great for setting up my outdoor wood fired boiler after a fire burned down my old control box - I was able to mount this controller in a safe location from the box so the control box would be safe in the event of a fire.
